Vintage North Jersey, a collaboration of northern New Jersey wineries announces its 4rd annual Wine & Food Festival on the weekend of August 19 and 20, 2017. Gates open at 12 noon through 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Held at one of the oldest north Jersey wineries, Four Sisters Winery, owned and operated by the Matarazzo family, has a long history of farming even before planting their first vines 33 years ago.
Rolling along the northwest corner of our state is terrain similar to parts of Spain, France, Italy and Germany, where Vintage North Jersey wineries produce an array of wine types to tease and please every palate. Take a ride through beautiful northern New Jersey and experience some of their fine wines and local flavors at one centrally located venue just off Route 80.
Join Vintage North Jersey member wineries for their annual Wine & Food Festival. Wineries representing Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon and Mercer Counties will be on hand offering their award-winning wines. Food trucks, specialty food and wine-related vendors, farmers’ market will have a variety of food available for purchase. Enjoy the entertainment of local bands daily.
Sample over 75 international, national and state award-winning wines from 8 North Jersey wineries with over 100 years of wine making experience collectively. Enjoy red, white and fruit wines for every taste.
On Saturday enjoy TRI STATE ROCKERS–Covering classic rock to blues and country, The Tri State Rockers bring “something for everyone” to their performances. The three-piece outfit — which rehearses in Vernon — consists of Gary Truelove on bass guitar and vocals, Lou Gentile on guitar and vocals and Jim Hiembuch on drums and vocals. Artists the band covers include Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.
Truelove began his bass training in New York City back in the 1970s, and has played with a number of rock and blues groups. Gentile is a classically trained guitarist with over 30 years experience in the music field. Most recently, he's performed with local bands The Texas Home Wreckers and The Party Dolls. Hiembuch has also played for over 30 years and has performed at establishments like BB Kings, CBGB and The Stone Pony.
On Sunday enjoy BOBBY CLARK- Born and raised in New Jersey, Bobby Clark is a New American Country/Rock Recording artist/song writer. Growing up listening to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. Now his own music is captivating listeners from all ages and around the world. Bobby Clark mixes it up and has a distinctive high/low vocal range that is very appealing to the listener’s ear. Not only is his music mouthwatering, the show is just as appealing. His love for music, friends and family show in his personality and performance.
Tickets at the gate are $25 for one day and $45 for two day.
Non-drinking attendees are $10 at the gate.
Each ticket includes admission, wine glass for tasting at the wineries, and live music.
The Vintage North Jersey Wine & Food Festival is easily accessible from Route 80 at Four Sisters Winery, located on County Route 519 off exit 12, six miles south of Route of 80 and 2 miles north of Route 46.
